A: When your present web hosting provider can no longer meet the needs of your web site, or when you undergo continuous network downtime, or if you are forced to wait for hours for the technical support staff to respond back to you, it may be a good idea to switch your provider, i.e. to transfer all the files for your sites together with your databases from your present provider to your future provider. At Throst, we realize that this can often be difficult & time–consuming. That is the reason why we’ll accomplish all that for you for free!Our skillful technical team reps will move your website content from your current web hosting provider to us. Our techs have lots of experience with web site migration and can handle anything – from a typical WordPress–based blog or Joomla^™–driven web site, to a highly complex, custom–made web app.

A: While we can’t give you an exact ETA, because there are lots of factors, among them the size of the web files and databases, the physical location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your site and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our very best to move your web site within 48h, and in some cases – within 24h (when the content is not very large).

A: We will need the login information for your current web hosting provider’s Control Panel and the web site’s name (domain name).

A: In order for us to begin the migration of your web hosting account, you must first open an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to share the very same information you have provided to your old web host. We’ve also got an extremely rigid Privacy Policy, which describes how personal data is handled.

A: No. Your site will remain visible online during the transfer. Once everything is done on our end, we will notify you so that you can preview it and check for any problems. If everything’s alright, all you will have to do is change your domain name’s DNS records.

A: No. Aside from your login credentials for the Control Panel, we won’t need anything. We’ll never touch base with your hosting provider. They will not know anything about the migration either.

A: We can migrate your site from any hosting provider or any Linux–based web hosting platform on condition that we can access the Control Panel and there is File Transfer Protocol access available.The only web sites that we’re unable to migrate are the ones based on closed–source software applications like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
