.NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are popular by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to buy john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken 3rd-level domain names remained working.

Through our firm, you can purchase your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular restrictions on who can book a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The dot NAME generic top-level domain is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the exact spelling in your native language.
