Domain Names by Throst

From our Domain Manager, you can effortlessly manage a lot of domain names from one place. You will acquire access to a big array of DNS controls and will also be able to make changes to many domains at the same time.

On top of that, if you happen to also have a cloud hosting account with Throst, you’ll be able to manage both your domain names and your web sites from one place.

The WHOIS info pertaining to your domain becomes freely available to everybody after the domain registration procedure itself. You will be able to escape that by activating an Whois Privacy Protection service for your domain. With it, your own personal or business information, including your name, e–mail address and street address, will be substituted with fictitious details. To enable Whois Privacy Protection for your domain, just choose the domain name and after that click the Whois Privacy Protection button to request the activation of this feature.

This service is available with the majority of the universal and country–specific domain extensions that we are offering. Go to the TLD information page on our site to learn which domain name extensions are Whois Privacy Protection–eligible.

Through the Custom DNS section of the Domain Manager, you can alter various DNS records for your domain names, among them A, AAAA, MX, NS, SRV, CNAME and TXT records. Adding a new DNS resource record is rather easy. Simply pick a domain and then enter the DNS resource record that you want. Any change you make will be reflected live within just one day. If you want to retrieve the original record value, simply press the Revert button.

The Custom DNS section also boasts a GeoIP location tool, which enables you to forward people from a given geographic location to a certain language version of your site.

In the Control Panel you will find a point–and–click domain name administration tool offering a host of features for managing numerous domain names simultaneously. You can easily set up sub–domain names, forward web sites, alter the nameservers or the WHOIS details pertaining to a domain name, add custom DNS records and a lot more.

Beside the basic domain name controls, in the Domain Manager you’ll also find an option to shield your registration information by using the Whois Privacy Protection feature as well as to protect your web store’s financial transactions with common or wildcard SSL certificates.

By locking your domain, you will able to safeguard it against unauthorized transfers. Thus, any individual who attempts to trigger a transfer of your domain to some other registrar will be instantly blocked.

If you want to to transfer your domain name to another registrar yourself, you can unlock it with just one click. The locking/unlocking functionality is included in the Domain Manager section of your Control Panel. Simply click on a domain name and click the Registrar Lock button to lock/unlock it.

With the Wildcard functionality available in the Domain Manager, you’ll be able to make all the hosts that you’ve got under a specific domain name load the home page of your web site.

This feature can be pretty useful when you’d like to use a multi–site application on your site, or if you want a particular subdomain to point to the index page of your site.

You will be able to add a wildcard domain with a single mouse click via the Control Panel–integrated Domain Manager tool. You just have to click the Add Host button located on the right and you will notice the Wildcard option at the bottom of the dialog box.

Registering several domains one by one can often be a tough procedure. This is the reason why Throst offers a bulk domain registration tool integrated into our web hosting Control Panel. It enables you to quickly register plenty of domains at once.
